Judiciary Mourns Loss of State Deputy Budget Director Mike Dedmon

The Tennessee judiciary is mourning the loss of State of Tennessee Deputy Budget Director Mike Dedmon, who worked closely with the judicial branch on state budget issues. He was 54.
 
Dedmon served in the State Budget Office in the Department of Finance and Admnistration for nearly 20 years and worked with multiple directors of the Administrative Office of the Courts as well as members of the judiciary.
 
"Mike was a tremendous public servant who was approachable, strategic, and dedicated to improving our great state," said AOC Director Deborah Taylor Tate. "This is a devastating loss for his beloved family and friends as well as the judiciary. We send our heartfelt condolences to all who loved him."
 
Dedmon earned his bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University and his master's degree in public service from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville,

Dedmon is survived by his wife Stephanie, who serves as the state's Chief Information Officer, as well as children and loved ones.
