State of Tennessee v. J.P. Burrow, Jr.

The Defendant, J.P. Burrow, Jr., appeals his convictions for two counts of rape of a child,
two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of sexual battery by an authority
figure. Specifically, the Defendant contends that the evidence was insufficient to support
his convictions because the proof consisted solely of the victims’ testimony with “no other
corroborating evidence.” Additionally, as to his conviction for sexual battery by an
authority figure, he argues that the evidence failed to show that he qualified as an authority
figure, pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated section 39-13-527, at the time the offense
took place. After review, we affirm the judgments of the trial court.
