New Judges trained at AOC's Judicial Academy

Four new judges in Tennessee attended the Administrative Office of the Court's Judicial Academy on Friday, February 10, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Circuit Court Judge for the 19th Judicial District in Montgomery and Robertson counties Ted A. Crozier, Chancellor for the 30th Judicial District in Shelby County JoDea L. Jenkins, Circuit Court Judge for the 30th Judicial District in Shelby County Mary L. Wagner, Circuit Court Judge for the 30th Judicial District in Shelby County Valerie L. Smith and Chancellor Bill Young (Davidson County) all attended the Judicial Academy, after being either appointed or elected to their position last year.

Seven other judges from across Tennessee attended as instructors at the Judicial Academy, teaching on law practice to the bench, recent law updates, courtroom security, case management, social media, media in the courtroom and ethics.

Instructors included Chief Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court Jeff Bivins, Judge Brandon Gibson (Court of Appeals), Judge Robert L. Holloway (Court of Criminal Appeals), Chancellor Jerri Bryant (McMinn County), Judge Creed McGinley (Hickman County), Judge J. Steven Stafford (Court of Appeals), and Judge Chris Craft (Shelby County).
