Council Will Consider 7 Applicants for 11th Judicial District Opening

Seven attorneys have applied for the Hamilton County Criminal Court judge position that will become vacant June 1 upon the retirement of The Honorable Rebecca Stern.

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will meet in Chattanooga on April 9 to consider these applicants:

The Council will interview the applicants on Thursday, April 9 at the Sheraton Read House Hotel, 827 Broad Street, Chattanooga. The meeting will include a public hearing starting at 9 a.m. EDT, during which members of the public may express their opinions about the applicants. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public.

The council is expected to make their selections immediately following the interviews and forward the names to Gov. Bill Haslam for his consideration.
