Council for Judicial Appointments Sends 3 Names to Gov. Haslam for Chancery Court Opening in 30th District

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments met on June 17, 2015 in Memphis to hold a public hearing and conduct interviews of candidates for the chancery court vacancy in the 30th Judicial District, which serves Shelby County.

After interviewing the candidates and conducting a vote, the Council has submitted the following three as nominees to Gov. Bill Haslam for the vacancy:

Frank S. Cantrell

Kimbrough Brown Mullins

James Robert Newsom III

The vacancy was created by the death of the Honorable Oscar C. Carr, III in April.
