Circuit Court Judge Wheeler A. Rosenbalm to retire

Judge Wheeler A. Rosenbalm, Circuit Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial District, has announced his retirement from the bench, effective January 1, 2013.

In a letter to Governor Bill Haslam dated October 4, Judge Rosenbalm said, “It has been a great pleasure and tremendous privilege for me to have served the people of Tennessee for the past 22 years.”

Judge Rosenbalm has been a Circuit Court Judge since 1990. Prior to joining the court, he was a partner with the Knoxville law firm of Frantz, McConnell & Seymour LLP. He earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he also was an instructor and associate professor of law.

Rosenbalm is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association and a fellow in the Tennessee Bar Foundation and American College of Trial Lawyers. He is co-author of Tennessee Construction Law and various articles and manuscripts.

Judge Rosenbalm plans to spend more time with his family during his retirement.
