Rule 31 Mediators who do 50 or more hours of pro bono mediation in a calendar year will be recognized by the TN Supreme Court and the ADRC.

- January 1, 2020 - Kick off pro bono mediation program
- Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2020 - First calendar year of program
Qualifications
- Mediators must conduct 50 or more hours of pro bono mediation in the given calendar year
- Pro bono mediation hours = hours done for no fee and no expectation of a fee
- Hours must be reported to the ADRC either at the time of the mediation or on the renewal form
- Mediators must apply to be recognized on the annual renewal form
Recognition
- Each qualified mediator will receive a personal letter and a certificate recognizing their contribution to access to justice
- Qualified mediators will have their names placed on an Honor Roll on the AOC website
- Qualified mediators will be publicly recognized at the annual ADRC workshop
Additional Information
Mediations done through court appointment and/or a community mediation program will count towards pro bono recognition hours, as long as the mediator did not receive payment or expect to receive payment. Mediators are encouraged to report pro bono mediations throughout the year using the Rule 31 Mediator Reporting process. Contact the Programs Staff at the AOC if you have any questions.
