Rule 40 Guardian ad Litem 2022 Educational Update  (1.50 general credit hours)

This session is provided as an addendum to the child development course for GALs. This session first addresses the risks associated with child welfare involvement. Following this discussion, attorneys are provided tools and tips to mitigate these risks for children and youth by leveraging school connection. School based intervention, including special education the process for eligbility, is addressed along with disciplinary protections for children with problem behavior and strategies to promote school stability.

CLE:  This course has been approved for 1.5 general CLE hours 

  • The approved CLE for this training includes an additional 15 minutes (.25 credit hour) to include time to complete the Pre-Training Quiz and Survey, and Post-Training Quiz, CLE Request and Training Evaluation.  Kindly take your  time to offer thoughtful responses to the questions.
  • Partial Credit is not given for distance learning courses.  
  • CLE for completed on-demand distance learning courses is reported one time, regardless of calendar year.
