The Plaintiff seeks to challenge the constitutionality of the inclusion of animal chiropractic within the scope of veterinary medicine as defined by Tennessee regulations. She argues that this requirement for animal chiropractors to obtain a veterinary license violates both the Tennessee Constitution and the U.S. Constitution.
However, following recent legislative changes with the passage of Senate Bill No. 128/House Bill No. 164—which allows licensed chiropractors with a specific certification to practice animal chiropractic—Dr. Colman has decided to voluntarily dismiss her claims against the Defendants. The court has ordered the case to be dismissed accordingly.
