Topics include pretrial planning, evidentiary foundations, common objections, child witness considerations, and strategies for preserving the record. Following the presentation, expert trial attorneys Wende Rutherford and Amanda King will serve on an expert panel to answer questions about how the Tennessee Rules of Evidence apply in juvenile court, including considerations across different stages of proceedings. The panel will also address the importance of knowing local rules and individual judicial practices in order to effectively advocate for clients and maintain a clean, clear record.
