This session first addresses the risks associated with child welfare involvement. Following this discussion, attorneys are provided tools and tips to mitigate these risks for children and youth by leveraging school connection. School based intervention, including special education the process for eligibility, is addressed along with disciplinary protections for children with problem behavior and strategies to promote school stability.
