Rule 55: Use of Technology for Court Proceedings

212

The use of teleconferencing, video conferencing or other technology to conduct court proceedings or other court business remotely is permissible at the discretion of the trial or appellate court.

Compiler’s Notes:  During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Court encouraged the use of technology to facilitate remote proceedings.  Given the benefits to the parties and courts of allowing remote proceedings, the Court continues to encourage the use of technology.
