Qualified Electronic Monitoring Providers

In 2025, the Tennessee General Assembly passed Public Chapter 580, which requires local government entities to:

• Qualify and approve electronic monitoring providers for defendants placed under court order;
• Enter into written agreements with such approved providers;
• Submit a list of these qualified and approved providers to the AOC; and
• Keep the submitted list up to date by notifying the AOC of any changes in provider status or approval of new providers.
