T.C.A. § 40-11-155(b)(2)
In 2025, the Tennessee General Assembly passed Public Chapter 253, which requires local government entities to:
- Qualify and approve electronic monitoring providers for defendants placed under court order;
- Enter into written agreements with such approved providers;
- Submit a list of these qualified and approved providers to the AOC; and
- Keep the submitted list up to date by notifying the AOC of any changes in provider status or approval of new providers.
Local government entities may submit these lists at gps@tncourts.gov.
