Commission to Consider Five Applicants for Circuit Court Judge in the 22nd Judicial District

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will consider five applicants when it meets Monday, May 20 in Columbia to select nominees for a circuit court judge vacancy in the 22nd Judicial District, which includes Giles, Lawrence, Maury and Wayne counties. This vacancy will be created by the upcoming retirement of Judge David Allen on August 3, 2024.

The public hearing to consider applicants will be May 20 at 9:00 a.m. CDT  at Columbia Central High School located at 921 Lion Parkway, Columbia, TN 38401.
Any member of the public may attend the public hearing and can express, orally or in writing, objections concerning applicant(s) for the judicial vacancy. The Commission is expected to vote immediately following the interviews and forward three names to Governor Bill Lee for his consideration.
