The Trial Court Vacancy Commission met today (Monday) to consider six applicants for the impending Circuit Court vacancy in the 2nd Judicial District, which serves Sullivan County. The vacancy will be created by the retirement in June of Judge R. Jerry Beck.
After holding a public hearing and conducting public interviews, the Commission selected the following nominees:
Ashley D. Boyer, Bristol
Peter M. Filetti, Blountville
William K. Rogers, Kingsport
The Commission has forwarded the names to Gov. Bill Haslam for his consideration.
