Commission Sends Names to Gov. Haslam for Court of Criminal Appeals Opening

The Governor’s Commission on Judicial Appointments met on June 10, 2014 in Nashville to hold a public hearing and conduct interviews of candidates for a vacancy on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals..

After interviewing the candidates and conducting a vote, the Commission has submitted the following three as nominees to Gov. Bill Haslam for the vacancy effective July 16, 2014.

Robert Lee Holloway, Jr.
Circuit Court Judge
Maury County

Larry B. Stanley, Jr.
Circuit Judge & Chancellor
Warren County

Larry J. Wallace
Circuit Court Judge
Stewart County

The vacancy was created by the appointment of Judge Jeffrey Bivins to the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Also, the Commission by acclamation sent two additional names that recently were selected for another Court of Criminal Appeals position that does not yet have an appointment.Those two are:

Circuit Court Judge
Williamson County

Roger Eric Nell
District Public Defender
Montgomery County
