Solicitation for Proposals for Professional Services - Davidson County Juvenile Court Pilot Project

The Tennessee Supreme Court has entered an Order establishing a pilot program for the delivery of representation to indigent defendants in child support contempt proceedings by way of contracts with interested and qualified attorneys. The pilot project will take place in Davidson County Juvenile Court and will run from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. The program will be structured such that an adequate number of contract attorneys are available in each of the three courtrooms that handle child support contempt cases on Wednesdays when appointments are made. Attorneys would take cases in only one of the three courts, eliminating the need to be in more than one place at a time, and allowing cases to move through the system in groups by placing them on the same dockets for subsequent court proceedings.
