8 Apply for 6th Judicial District – Knox County Circuit Court Vacancy

Eight attorneys have applied to fill the vacancy for the Circuit Court judgeship open in Knox County.  The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Wheeler A. Rosenbalm effective January 1, 2013.

The public hearing will be held on Friday, Dec. 14 at 9 a.m., EST. at the Hilton Hotel Knoxville, 501 West Church Avenue, Knoxville, 37902. During the public hearing, attorneys and members of the public may express theirapproval or objections to the candidates.

Following the public hearing, the commission will interview each applicant before recommending three candidates to the governor. Members of the public are invited to attend both the public hearing and the interviews.
