Sharon Guffee Named First Juvenile Court Judge for Williamson County

From the Williamson Herald

Sharon Guffee has been named the first Juvenile Court judge for Williamson County. The Williamson County Commission voted unanimously June 11 to appoint Guffee to the position effective Jan. 1, 2013. She will run for election to the position in the next general election, which will be held in 2014.

Due to the increased demands and caseload, Williamson County created, by legislation, a separate Juvenile Court.

Guffee is a graduate of the University of the South with a B.S. in Nursing and Nashville School of Law. Previously she worked for the 21st Judicial District and in private practice of law. She was appointed part-time Juvenile Court Magistrate in 2004 and to the position full-time in 2007. Guffee is married to Johnny Guffee, a long-time Williamson County resident and the son of Dr. Harry Guffee.
