Judge Camille McMullen, Criminal Court of Appeals, is seeking a qualified person for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for advanced administrative work that involves serving as private secretary to Judge McMullen. Essential duties include, but are not limited to, preparing and processing various legal documents and answering correspondence; performing a variety of confidential, technical, and general clerical tasks; receiving, screening and routing incoming telephone calls, callers and visitors; maintaining records and files pertaining to the status of cases; preparing and transmitting expense vouchers; making travel arrangements; and maintaining the judge's personal calendar.
The successful applicant must have excellent computer skills, be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, be organized, be able to work independently and maintain confidential information and have proficiency in the use of Word and Word Perfect. Certification as a certified professional secretary, graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or considerable experience in criminal court or legal secretarial work preferred.

This position consists of responsible professional work in program administration, planning, development, and evaluation. An employee assigned to the programs manager position works under the supervision of the Director of Court Services performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, staffing the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission and administering the listing of Supreme Court Rule 31 mediators; managing several grants including but not limited to the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program and Parent Education and Mediation Fund state funded programs, the Access and Visitation Grant and miscellaneous Byrne grants; assists the Director of Court Services in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, domestic violence, policy development on various program areas as assigned, conducting programs and planning and implementing educational programs as may be needed. The programs manager may serve as staff liaison to various committees, commissions, and task forces. Working relationships will be established with court personnel, judges, attorneys, and other professionals in carrying out responsibilities.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public or judicial administration, social work, education, or a related social science and three years of experience in program administration, judicial administration or program planning. A jurisdoctorate degree or masters degree in conflict resolution is preferred but not required.

The Technology Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts in Nashville is seeking a qualified person for the position of Business Analyst. The successful applicant will be analyzing and documenting business requirements for integrating Tennessee’s Criminal Justice Information. Based upon the goals and objectives of the strategic plan, the business analyst will assist in the oversight, planning and development of information sharing initiatives for Tennessee’s Criminal Justice Processes. The successful applicant will help develop project outlines, policies and legislative changes that will be required along with time and cost estimates to reach the goals of integrating criminal justice information in Tennessee.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Computer and Information Systems and significant professional experience defining systems, designing, developing and implementing technical automated solutions to manual systems and processes is required. Additional duties include, but are not limited to providing support for the installation, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of information systems, working with users to develop performance measures and evaluation tools. The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a qualified person for the position of Application Development Manager. This position is responsible to direct and manage all developers, database administrators and all development activities. The development manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to AOC coding and database standards and procedures; and for encouraging the development of reusable, efficient, scalable, maintainable, and reliable code for both client-server and web-based applications. Management duties include recommending decisions on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.) and performing formal and informal evaluations.
Previous programming or database management experience required. Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework in a web environment; C# in ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server (2000 or 2005) a plus.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and substantial (five or more years) professional experience is required in business or systems applications programming with at least three years experience in a lead, supervisory, or management level over an application development team.
