IN RE:  AMENDMENT TO SUPREME COURT RULE 7,

ARTICLE XII, Sections 12.01, 12.04(a) and 12.04(b)

ORDER

Supreme Court Rule 7, Article XII, Section 12.01, is amended by deleting the number A3" in the first sentence and substituting the number A5@ and by deleting the word Astaggered@ from the second sentence, so that the section will read:  AThe Board shall consist of 5 attorneys licensed to practice law in this State and in good standing.  They shall be appointed from time to time by the Court, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Court for terms of 3 years.@

Supreme Court Rule 7, Article XII, Section 12.04(a), is amended by deleting the words Aby a quorum@ and substituting in their place the words Aconcurred in by at least three members,@ so that the section will read: ADenial of an application to take the examination, or denial of a license, or the adoption of Board policies and rules shall be taken only on formal action concurred in by at least three members of the Board, expressed in an order.@

Supreme Court Rule 7, Article XII, Section 12.04(b), is amended by deleting the word and number "Two [2]" and substituting the word and number "Three [3]," so that this section will read:  "Three [3] members of the Board shall constitute a quorum."
